Phew!

Back to the deviant once again after a long stint away.
Web design here and there a few ups and few downs but all in all a very interesting few months.
Now officially graduated and am the proud owner of a 2:1 in Business information systems.
Looking to finally get the t-shirts off the ground in jan for a few freebies to be handed out.
If any genuinely poor students with an eye for fashion and a rather large group of friends to boast to at receiving free stuff would like one
just gimme a shout and i will see what i can do.
Call it a late xmas present

Munch munch munch

Pretty darn crazy goings on lately.
Got hired to do a media project doing some video last week, not a genius on adobe premier but think i managed to blag my way through it to earn a lovely sum of £100 for about 9 hours work, not much fun as it had to be done on a weekend,would of rather been jumpin around to a bit of DnB but i was def not gonna pass on such a lucrative opportunity.
Not much else going on bout now, still waiting on a few invoices to get me some ££££ to get the T-shirts in to start printing.
Got a few more peeps on board for doing some designs for a few t-shirts.
***Looking for a photographer of well defined capability up for a laugh if anyone knows one who would do some work in exchange for a few shirts let me know, obviously gotta be UK based too.

Tick tick boom

Firstly soz for not faving or commenting back on anyone for a while had a bit of a mad one over the past few weeks. Been all ova the shop in both a mental and physical sense,just about back to normal now. Will be catching up over the next couple of days.
So whats been going on:
Mostly been trying to get suppliers and printers for this line of clothes were producing which is proving tricky. Looking at using American Apparel as the quality is damn good plus it doesnt shrink and unlike fruit of the loom its lieghtweight, anyway enough of teh technicalities ofthe Tees.
Got a few peeps intrerested in dropping me some designs and cash to get the whole thing rolling. If anyone interested in geting involved, design or helping market the site on their sites gimme a shout as it would be great to get a wide range of designs and links, mainly looking at vector styled design with no more than 3 colours. If your interested gime a shout or email me at alex@facefwd.co.uk for more details.

Dropped a few Illustrator pen tool tutorials in my scraps if anyone needs a kick start on Illustrator....

Time waits for no man

Ok bit on the busy side, thought i had best take 5 and put a little bit up on the journal to give me something else to do for 5 minutes.
So I have mostly been in court this past week doing my duty for her royal heinesse's justice system; im doing a stint at jury service, cant really talk about what ive been doing for fear of possibly being locked up myself, however so far its been pretty uneventful as most of cases ended pretty quick due to a sudden attack of conscience by the accused, he/she decided that they were actually guilty afterall, just took them 6 months to realise, ah well more drama to follow next week.
The work coming in steady at the moment and the site promotion pretty damn good through myspace.com/facefwd www.myspace.com/facefwd &…;.
As expected the T-shirts have not been printed yet as I havent had a spare 5 minutes to even set up the screens so i will put that off til at least mid september now.
Few more watches this past week which is much appreciated and i will try and knock out a few more pieces soon for people to have a look at.
Right off to get some zzzz'z before i start a mammoth day tomorrow involving several hours of tracing in illustrator. I will post a simple tutorial if anyone is interested on how to create swirls and basic vector shapes in illustrator some time this week.

Time to burn

So the website is doin good, I have had bout 6000's hits since it launched and got on google, yahoo and a few others just by submitting through this free web seo software a friend gave me. Had viewings from peru thanks to Tom for that ,india,france,germany, russia etc. mainly through links i didnt even know about....all in all pretty damn gooooood.
So whats in store this week:
1)Getting some serious work getting chucked my way next week with all this promotion for the website.
2)Getting some t-shirts started ...hopefully as i always get side tracked by something else....whats with the t-shirts?
Well I did a few designs for a few people last year at uni and after being hassled ive decided to rent a printing studio with some screen printing gear.
I will launch a website with paypal to sell a few just to see how it goes.
Gonna be real unique pieces with illustrations, not like funkrush www.funkrush.com cause those guys have an amazing style big things gonna happen for wirestyle.deviantart.com/ … co. they have an amazing style and by the look of it www.spunkystore.co.uk/q/page/e… gonna be big and good luck to all of them as they are an awesome inspiration.
Mine is more of a quest to design a few t-shirts which are more vintage.
Plan is to print around 20 of each design and no more.
I will try and run a competition when its up and running by september time to give away around 10 pieces from hoodies to t-shirts as they are all printed on american apparel and cost a fair whack....will post a few up when i actually get round to printing them to see what people think....
